Are our facilities good enough to hold the 5th East Asian Games?

Hong Kong won the right to hold the 5th East Asian Games in 2009. Timothy Fok Tsun-ting says in the six years leading up to the Games, Hong Kong can upgrade and build some facilities. The government estimates the cost to be $160 million, half of which will come from taxpayers. He says sports nowadays is an industry and money spent is an investment. It is a good time for Hong Kong businesses to participate. As results are important for sponsorship, athletes should move away from amateurism to professionalism.
