Aberdeen docks 香港仔船塢

A view of the Aberdeen Docks, completed in 1868, comprising the Hope and Lamont Dry Dock, were built by the Hong Kong and Whampoa Dock Company, and was initially owned by Douglas LaPraik. Handsome clipper ships carried the bulk of trade in the early days, but paddle steamers soon became a familiar sight in the harbour as sail was replaced by steam.
