Adorned tram 電車裝飾
Hong Kong's iconic trams remain popular as they trundle through the city at a snail's pace, offering onlookers ample time to absorb the advertising message. The coronation of King George V, on 22 June 1911, was celebrated with patriotic fervour throughout the British Empire. And so the colony participated with gusto, decking its streets with illuminations and decorations and staging lion dances. Here the Hong Kong Tramways Company adorned its vehicles with 'God Save The King' to celebrate the occasion.
