Fook Tak Chi was built in 1877 at the junction of Shau Kei Wan Main Street East and Kam Wa Street. (“Fook Tak“ is not the name of a deity. It refers to a place where people pray for blessings and virtues.). After an expansion project by the Chinese Temples Committee in 1974, it was renamed as Shing Wong Temple.福德祠位於筲箕灣東大街與金華街交界，（福德並非神的名稱，是市民祈求福與德的意思），建於光緒三年（1877年）。華人廟宇委員會於1974年擴建，在原來福德祠門外加建正門，並改名為城隍廟。
