The program looks at the Hong Kong Government review on its policy of importing domestic helpers from overseas, a policy that has been in effect for 30 years. Many local women recent years need income to help their families and have been trained to be domestic helpers. But they find it difficult to compete for placements against the 237,000 domestic helpers from overseas who are already here.
