聖德肋撒堂的建堂工程於1931年9月開始。1932年4月23日，由恩理覺主教主持奉獻及奠基典禮，並於同年12月18日正式開幕。In September 1931, construction work of St. Teresa’s Church began. On 23 April 1932, Bishop Henry Valtorta officiated at the dedication and the laying of foundation stone ceremony. The official opening was on the 18th December of the same year.
