Back to 1960 the pet bird commercial activities flourished in Hong Lok Street which was later developed into the famous “Bird Street“. In 2004, Hong Lok Street with five other streets (“Mong Kok Six Streets“) were redeveloped into the present-day Langham Place.早於1960年，康樂街已集結經營觀賞雀鳥的商戶，及後康樂街更發展為人所熟悉的「雀仔街」。2004年，康樂街連同其他五條街道（「旺角六街」）重建成今天的朗豪坊。
