The forecast of the Hong Kong surveillance law

Originally released as a television broadcast on 9 July 2006. The Court of Final Appeal has heard legislator Leung Kwok-hung's appeal against a six-month grace period for the government's covert surveillance cases. In any case the government has less than a month before the grace period expires on August 8th. Is legislation in place for now to give the government legal backing? If not, what will happen when the grace period runs out. Discuss these issues with James To (legislator and chairman of Legco security panel) and Serenade Woo (new chairman of the Hong Kong Journalists Association). Host: Frank Ching ; guest speakers: James To, Serenade Woo. In English with English subtitles.
