The Chung Chi College Library was first established in 1951. The present library building was built with the generous support of the Henry Luce Foundation through the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of America and was officially dedicated on 29 October 1971 by Mr. Henry Luce’s sister, Mrs. Elisabeth Luce Moore, after whom the Library was named.崇基學院圖書館於1951年成立。現今的牟路思怡圖書館大樓是由美國亨利路思基金會，通過美國聯合長老會捐款興建，並於1971年10月29日由亨利路思先生的妹妹牟路思怡夫人親臨主持揭幕，故命名為牟路思怡圖書館。
