This splendid residence was built in the late 19th century by Sir Catchick Paul Chater, a successful Armenian-born merchant. Sir Paul moved into Marble Hall from Caine Road in 1925, but passed away a year later.於十九世紀末興建的雲石堂，是英籍亞美尼亞裔富商遮打爵士的住宅。遮打爵士在1925年從堅道搬到這裡居住，一年後便在此去世。
