左方的建築物為原本的警察總部，建於1860年後。警察總部於1884年重建。圖中所示的海灣及沙灘一帶，於日後填平而為今日之半島酒店及梳士巴利道現址。The building on the left is the original Police Station. It was built soon after 1860. The Police Station was extended and largely rebuilt in 1884. The new Water Police Station was later called the Marine Police Headquarters. The beach and bay shown were later reclaimed to provide the present site for the Peninsula Hotel and Salisbury Road.
