如果有人被問到如何描述香港人的信仰，伊斯蘭教不會是人們立即想到的宗教。然而，香港約有五萬名伊斯蘭教徒，為了滿足他們崇拜的需要，位於灣仔愛群道樓高八層的愛群清真寺林士德伊斯蘭中心，於1981年9月開幕。Islam would not be the religion one would immediately call to mind if asked to describe the beliefs of people in Hong Kong. Yet there are some fifty thousand Moslems in Hong Kong and to meet their needs for worship the eight-storey Masjid Ammar and Osman Ramju Sadick Islamic Centre was opened in Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai in September 1981.
