蘇屋邨始建於1960年，由於蘇屋邨已有四十多年歷史，樓宇結構雖然仍然安全，但維修費用過於高昂，因此房委會在2006年決定於2008年及2011年分兩期將蘇屋邨清拆。So Uk Estate was built in 1960. As of 2006, over 46 years, the structure is still in good condition but its estimated high maintenance cost made the Hong Kong Housing Authority decide to demolish it in 2008 and 2011 in two phases.
