伙頭墳洲位於西貢東南面，南北相距1公里，由東至西的距離約為一半。它是所有邊遠島嶼中最平坦的一個，最高點只有73米。1976年，政府批准晨曦會（基督教戒毒所）遷往伙頭墳洲西面海灣作永久基址。Town Island is located in the southeast of Sai Kung. It measures 1 km from north to south and half that east to west. It is the flattest of the outer islands: its highest point is just 73 m. In 1976, the Hong Kong Government approved the moving of Operation Dawn (a Christian drug rehabilitation centre) to Town Island’s western bay and using the island for drug rehabilitation purpose.
