The Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Building at 1, Queen’s Road Central, was inaugurated in 1886. The main feature of the design was the division of the structure into two almost separate buildings. On Queen’s Road Central was its Victorian style with the colonnade and the octagonal dome whereas the arcade which harmonized with the adjacent buildings was constructed on Des Voeux Road.位於皇后大道中1號的香港上海滙豐銀行，於1886年啟用。此大樓建築風格特別：面向大道中的一面以柱廊及八角形的圓拱屋頂為主，屬維多利亞式設計；面向德輔道的一邊則採用一系列拱形走廊為主，藉以與鄰近的建築物協調。大樓前後部分設計迥然不同，儼然是由兩座不同特色的建築物所組成。
