The Chinese Young Men’s Christian Association of Hong Kong (Chinese Y.M.C.A), established in 1901, was headed by Reverend Walter Southam of American Association. Initially, it was only housed in a rented residential flat at Des Voeux Road Central. With the number of members rising, a youth club was finally built at the present site in 1918.<br/>香港中華基督教青年會成立於1901年，由美國協會委任蘇森牧師主持，初期在德輔道中租賃民房為會址。後因會址不敷應用，在現址興建青年會所，1918年落成。
