All three main religions of China - Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism - are practised at this colourful temple. Fortune-tellers, some of whom speak English, often work outside the temple.黃大仙祠為香港最著名的廟宇之一。此廟長年香火鼎盛，特別是節日及農曆新年期間，善信蜂擁而至，不少香港人更視「黃大仙」為「有求必應」的代名詞。廟前的建築物裡設有眾多解籤攤子，為人求神問卜。
