李我天空小說系列 Li Ngaw's Airwave Novel Series
李我（1922—2021）在粵語廣播界以「天空小說」享負盛名。他1946年起於廣州風行電台講述文藝小說，大受歡迎，其後在1949年下半年來到香港，先後在香港麗的呼聲、澳門綠邨電台與香港商業廣播電台工作。李我的廣播劇獨樹一幟，以即興創作和單人講述聞名。當時為了彌補有些觀眾無法即時收聽的遺憾，他當日的廣播劇會被即時抄錄，第二日即在報紙連載，並集冊成書，其中最為出名的是《慾焰》（五卷本）。李我相當多產，當時天空小說也是粵語片改編的重要來源，李我的多部作品也被改編成電影，部分由他自己出演。
如今，留存的「天空小說」圖書數量不多，數碼化這些書籍不僅有助保存珍貴資料，更可開拓文學、歷史和文化研究的新領域，了解當年粵語廣播劇風采。特此感謝中文學院魏艷教授慷慨捐贈書籍及支持本項目。
Li Ngaw (1922-2021) was a prominent figure in the Cantonese broadcasting industry, best known for his “Airwave Novels.” His career took off in 1946 at Radio Fengxing in Guangzhou, where he gained immense popularity. In late 1949, he moved to Hong Kong and worked successively at Rediffusion Hong Kong, Radio Vila Verde in Macao, and Commercial Radio Hong Kong. Li Ngaw's radio dramas set him apart due to their unique improvisation and single-person narration techniques, with Li masterfully mimicking voices of multiple characters of varying ages, genders, and professions. To ensure no audience member missed his real-time shows, Li’s radio dramas were promptly transcribed, serialized in newspapers the following day, and eventually compiled into books. His most famous work is the five-volume "Flame of Lust". Li Ngaw was incredibly prolific, and during his time, "Airwave Novels" were an important source for the adaptation of Cantonese films. Many of his works were adapted into films, some even featuring Li himself.
Today, original copies of Li Ngaw's “Airwave Novels” are rare in Hong Kong. Digitizing these works not only help preserve these invaluable materials but also unlock new venues for research in literature, history, and culture, helping readers better understand the allure of Cantonese radio dramas of that era.
