甚麼是「文化研究」的角度和治學方式? 自90年代以來, 這種在香港學術界新興的跨學科研究對我們閱讀文學與電影有甚麼啟示和衝擊?

This presentation uses the strett protests in April 2005 as focal point to explore the current relations between Chinese and Japanese youth, why the expression of the hostility has become more pronounced and whether this is significant. At the very time the two economies are becoming more closely integrated economically, hostility is becoming more vociferous. The dimensions of the inqury focus on the role of the internet in creating a new political space which provides a public platform as well as anonymity to express extreme views; the role of the Chinese and Japanese governments in fuelling tensions but also trying to manage the outcome; the growing nationalism of both Chinese and Japanese youth in the context of the readjustments in economic and political reiongal architecture.

本講座將介紹口述歷史的價值和特色,並以每年農曆七月香港各區舉辦的盂蘭勝會為例,透過口述歷史訪問,了解潮籍和海陸豐籍移民的傳統活動;並追溯香港戰後的移民生涯、社區變遷和認同意識的演變。

本講的目的在分辨社會史與歷史掌故。以香港1870年至1970年為核心, 來說明社會史著重思想架構的發展, 重新考慮香港人對自己歷史認同。歷史資料對從事歷史研究工作的人來說固然重要, 但是歷史資料必須放在不斷重複思考的架構才能發現歷史感怎樣影響我們的生活。
