Xi Jinping was reported as saying that "some people want to overturn the sky". They want to "break Hong Kong away from the jurisdiction of the Central People's Government through political reforms, and this is never going to happen". The program invites Emily Lau (Chairwoman of the Democratic Party) to comment this point of view. Some say that they want the pan-democrats to resign from LegCo. That will trigger a by-election, and the by-election will be seen or treated as a referendum on Beijing's political framework. Then that will show which side people are standing on.
