Star Ferry 天星小輪
The year 1888 proved doubly auspicious when the first regular cross-harbour ferry service followed close on the heels of the opening of the Peak Tram. That year a Parsee merchant, Dorabjee Nowrojee, launched the Kowloon Ferry Company with steam vessels bearing such illusionary names as Morning Star, Celestial Star and Evening Star. In developing years an Electric Star would join the fleet.
