MPF-a waste of money? ; Destroying the coast to "conserve" it ; The demise of DBC

Recently the Consumer Council pointed out that around half of all MPF accounts they had examined had lost money in the past five years. Meanwhile, next week the government will allow employees a VERY limited opportunity to decide who takes care of their funds, and will also introduce a tightewned up regulatory regime. Is it enough to resotre confidence in the scheme? In our studio to discuss this is the Chief Operating Officer of the Mandatory Provident Schemes Authority Alice Law. In the New Territories the government is planning to "conserve" coastline ... by destroying it. Lung Mei is a mud flat that's home to a complex array of marine life. The government plans to cover it with sand to make it a bathing beach. And seems unaware of the full diversity of ecology in the area. FInally, Albert Cheng's DBC radio is closing down. He says this is because of interference from the Liaison Office, but it's not unreasonable to ask why he gave pro-Beijing individuals a controlling interest in the company. And why he's surprised by their actions.
