The French Sisters of St Paul of Chartres, in their Hong Kong Mission in Causeway Bay, set up a network of schools devoted both to education and spiritual conversion. In the colony's early days, the Sisters founded an orphanage and set about accepting abandoned and orphaned children of all races from a very early age.
