The China Club, housed in the top floors of the old Bank of China building, which dates from 1959. Here members relax on overstuffed furniture in Art Deco surroundings hinting of old world charm from a less frenetic age. Other than the whimsical and sometimes deliberately shocking contemporary Chinese paintings decorating its walls, the club adheres to a generally conservative mood.
