A chamber's chronicle
When the new LegCo Complex in Tamar is completed in 2011, the former High Court Building will once again be occupied by the Judiciary, as the Court of Appeal. We speak to the Council's Secretary General, chairman, legislators and former users including UMELCO officials, lawmakers, judges and lawyers of the building to rediscover the role it played during colonial times, how it has shaped HK's Legislature as we know it today, its architecture, and why the move has become neccessary as the size and scope of the work of the Legislative Council expands.
