General Rensuke Isogai 陸軍中將磯谷廉介

Rensuke lsogai (1886-1967) was a general in the Imperial Japanese Army and administrator of Hong Kong under Japanese occupation (1942-1944). With the start of the Pacific War lsogai was recalled to active duty in 1942 and appointed Governor-General of Japanese occupied Hong Kong on 20 February 1942. During lsogai 's tenure, Hong Kong was subjected to martial law. His command post was the Peninsula Hotel in Kowloon.
