The controversial bill against discrimination

Originally released as a television broadcast on 21 May 2006. The Hong Kong government, under pressure to legislate against race discrimination, says it will introduce a bill soon. However many aspects of the proposed bill have come under criticism. For example, should an exemption be made with companies expat packages and should Mainland migrants be included in the bill? The Deputy Secretary for Home Affairs Stephen Fisher who is responsible for the human rights portfolio, declined to come on Newsline.
