The Right Hon. Christopher Patten, was among those present to celebrate the Cathedral's 150th anniversary. At the conclusion of the service he is seen bidding farewell to the Very Reverent Christopher Phillip, Dean of St John's. With the Governor is Mrs Anson Chan who was then Chief Secretary, the number two position in the government hierarchy.
