The Temple was built by local residents in 1863. Pak Tai (Supreme Emperor of the Dark Heaven) was a prince of the Shang Dynasty 3,000 years ago and became a learned Taoist at a young age. The Temple is listed as an historical building and has recently been painstakingly restored in superb surrounds, overlooked by a venerable Banyan tree.
