Still waters
Hong Kong waters were once an abundant source of fish, but now are on the verge of complete depletion. The Hong Kong Government has proposed a series of measures, such as introducing fishing license system, setting up a number of no-take zones and the two-month fishing ban to turn the tide on overfishing. But the fishing community does not agree with these proposals, and the environmentalists and academics commented that they do not go far enough. This programme tries to take a look at whether anything can be done to remedy the situation.
