People from across the seas were lured to Hong Kong in the 19th century. Each brought beliefs that were carefully nurtured as links with a distant homeland. Churches, temples, shrines, mosques and synagogues have added their distinctive silhouettes to our skyline over the years, reflecting the multi-culturalism and the tolerance and freedom of religion, that have been dual strengths of this British colony.
