Shau Kei Wan Police Station 筲箕灣警署
The Aldrich Bay (Shau Kei Wan) Police Station outpost protecting the eastern approaches of Victoria Harbour against pirates was built in the early 1870s to replace a temporary matshed. Here the racial divisions of early colonial society are obvious: Chinese servants and officers are standing on the lower floor, while European and Indian officers occupy the first-floor verandah.
