The dead & the living of Sichuan earthquake

In the run up to the first anniversary of the great Sichuan earthquake on May 12th last year, aid is still pouring into affected areas as battered victims and unscathed survivors alike struggle to rise from the rubble, to shed haunting memories and to resume normal lives. We track the progress of the rebuilding and renovation of collapsed structures. We look at how the hordes of homeless have lived in the past year, how the many who've lost their loved ones, parents bereft of their one and only child or orphans with no mother and father wallow in a yearful of sorrows, seeking closure. And how those who've been handicapped by the temblor try to standup be counted again.
