Originally released as a television broadcast on 25 June 2006.
This coming Saturday marks the 9th anniversary of Britain's handover of Hong Kong to China. Before 1997, critics predicted China would crack down on Hong Kong's right and freedoms. Why hasn't that happened in the past nine years? And what can we expect in the coming years? Discuss these issues with Emily Lau (legislator) and Anthony Cheung (Political scientist from the City University of Hong Kong).
Host: Frank Ching ; guest speakers: Emily Lau, Anthony Cheung.
