Dorabjee Naorojee launched the Kowloon Ferry Company with steam vessels bearing such romantic names as Morning Star and Evening Star. In 1933 the Company made history by introducing the Electric Star, the first diesel electric passenger ferry of its kind on a regular, dependable cross-harbour service.
