Yeoh Eng-Kiong says his ministry is preparing for the possible return of SARS in winter. They will look for and correct the environment to prevent a super-spreader from causing an outbreak. He says adequate medical supplies are in stock and quarantine beds will be ready, so will the Centre for Disease Control (CDC). Arrangements have been made with World Health Organization and the CDC overseas, to enlist their help when needed. A notification system has been established with Guangzhou and Macau. Chinese medicine will be provided for treatment on request and a cocktail of western medicine will be used.
