Central Plaza located in Wan Chai north business district. The architect, Dennis Lau, confronted the problem of how to secure the best harbour views. He settled for a triangular layout, offering optimal 'view corridors' between adjacent buildings, and blunted the sharp edges to appease any neighbours concerned with inauspicious feng-shui implications of 'dagger blades'. Instead of abruptly terminating the building at its crest, Lau drew the three corners into a stepped pyramid, housing a superb entertainment penthouse for its developers and crowned by a slender spire that ripples with light to clock the hours.
