Location! Location! Location!

We're an obese world, taking in too many calories for our bodies to manage. Fat is the enemy, but the fat you cannot see is a special threat. Scanning devices reveal so-called 'visceral fat' in the abdomen. This is the fat that leads to cardiovascular disease, heart attack, and diabetes. Asians are more likely than westerners to store extra food energy as visceral fat. Once depostited in the abdomen though, this fat is not stuck. Through better diet and exercise the fat that cuts lives short can be reduced.
