Hong Kong Government Gazette (1842-1941)

Hong Kong Government Gazette first appeared in 1841, it was a supplement to the Canton Press, and was successively printed in newspapers such as Friends of China, Hong Kong Register and China Mail. In 1853, the Gazette became a separate publication. The Gazette contained official notifications, ordinances, bills, regulations, appointments and notices promulgated by the government.
