中光布廠 Chung Kwong Weaving Factory

《香港華商特藏》保存了中光布廠的商業文件, 包括66冊釘裝賬簿、其他財務記錄如進支記錄、營業記錄、交易記錄、生產報告、銀行信件、訂貨單、發貨單、賬單及收據、 買賣合同、商務函件等，亦保存了中光布廠的東主兼董事鄺吉棠與其家庭成員的私人文檔，如私人信件、各類收據、會員卡、股份轉讓文件、相片等。

Chung Kwong Weaving Factory was a fabric manufacturing mill established in 1932 in Hong Kong. The factory was located at Kowloon City Road, Kowloon with a warehouse at Ma Tau Kok Road for goods storage purpose. Its head office was on Hennessy Road, Wan Chai. It also had a wholesale and retail fabric store at Wing Kut Street in Central which, in 1960, became its head office.

Hong Kong Chinese Merchants Collection contains the business documents of Chung Kwong Weaving Factory including 66 bound account books and other financial records such as income and expenditure record of its retail stores, trading records, production reports, bank letters, purchase orders, invoices, payment bills and receipts, contractual papers and business-related correspondence. It also includes the personal materials of Mr Kwong Kut Tong, the proprietor and director of Chung Kwong Weaving Factory, and those of two other members of the Kwong family, such as letters, receipts, membership cards, share transfer papers, photographs, etc.
